Dues Increase to Implement the Common Area Maintenance Plan was approved at the Annual Meeting. Over 90% of Homeowners at the Annual Meeting approved increasing the annual dues to $150 per lot to fully implement the Common Area Maintenance Plan. The Plan, which is supported by local fire officials, is designed to reduce the risk of fire and the associated liabilities to our own homeowners, as well as, surrounding communities. The Common Area Committee is now charged with implementing the plan and determining which sections of the 28-acre Common Area will be impacted in the first year of the plan.

Board of Directors Election. Nancy Witmer, Bill Kenney, Denese Holden and Mike Stewart now join incumbent Gary Grenfell as the new Board of Directors. The first Board business was to determine the various Board positions and they are: President – Denese Holden, Vice President – Nancy Witmer, whose responsibilities include the Common Area, as well as, the Halloween Watch, Treasurer – Gary Grenfell, Secretary – Mike Stewart and Bill Kenney who will chair the Architectural Committee.

Walden Woods Garage Sale is Scheduled For October 7. The annual Walden Woods Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each homeowner will be responsible for their own sale. The Association will place newspaper advertising in the Sacramento Bee & Pennysaver. The Association will post signs in the Granite Bay community. Arrangements will be made with the United Cancer Research Society to pick up the remaining articles on Monday, October 9. You must mark these items "United Cancer Research Society" for them to be picked up. To help, call Stephanie Kenney at 652-5025.

Cynthia Edwards is Appointed As Chair of the Association’s Social Committee. Cynthia Edwards takes over from Nadia Burleson who is moving. Our Fall Homeowners Party is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, on Woodrock Way from 4:40 - 7:30 P.M. If you wish to help Cynthia please call her at 652-8549.
